The first Dunedin branch meeting of 2011 will be held on Friday (7 Jan) at 35 Mechanic Street. Note the change of day! Two international guest speakers will be there speaking on "Building Revolutionary Organisations: Experiences from Australia". Mick Armstrong and Sandra Bloodworth are both members of Socialist Alternative in Australia with years of experience in revolutionary politics. Mick is the author of 'From Little Things Big Things Grow' and also '1, 2, 3, What Are We Fighting For?' and 'The Labor Party: A Marxist Analysis'. Sandra has also written extensively on a variety of topics - her works include 'Rebel Women', 'How Workers Took Power: The 1917 Russian Revolution', 'The Poverty of Patriarchy Theory' and 'Fighting For Women's Liberation Today'.
