In 2007, police struck communities up and down the country, arresting peace and maori activists under charges of 'terrorism'. Though the terrorism charges were dropped, many of the victims of this state-sponsored terror are still awaiting trial, two years on. This is a blatant example of the increasing power of the police to crack down on activists. Thursday 14th is a day of Solidarity, and an open mike and art auction evening is being held at Sammy's. We would encourage anyone who was disgusted with the actions of the police two years ago to come and join with like-minded people'

Money raised from the auction and from donations on the door will go to support the arrestees of the October 15th state terror raids of 2007. how the night will roll is:
7.00 - Doors open, artworks can be viewed
7.30 - Host Band of the Evening to play
8.00 - Art Auction will start
