Foreign Troops Out of Afghanistan PDF Print E-mail

In 2001, the invasion of Afghanistan was “justified” by citing the appalling conditions under which most Afghan women lived. Eight years and an estimated 30,000 civilian deaths later the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan (RAWA) claim that most women’s lives are now worse than before the invasion. Meanwhile, John Key has sent 70 of the most highly trained killers in New Zealand to “help out”, performing tasks like abductions, assassinations and ‘painting’ targets for air strikes. Using state terrorism to stop terrorism is doomed to failure.
Though it is hard to say what will happen in Afghanistan in the near future, the message from the civilians on the ground is clear: No progress can be made till all foreign troops get out.
