NZ troops in Afghanistan are supposedly a "peacekeeping force", engaged in benign activities such as building schools, clinics and bridges. They are however an integral part of the US-led occupation and provide support and legitimacy for a puppet government. There are now more than 33,000 foreign troops stationed in Afghanistan, an increase of 9,000 in less than a year as the occupying powers desperately attempt to subdue a growing rebellion against their neo-colonial agenda.
