Pretty much everyone accepts now that the invasion of Iraq was based on
lies. Most would agree that the US invaded to tighten its control of world
oil supplies. Its not surprising that the US occupation has been fought
from the start by the Iraqi people.
Pretty much everyone accepts now that the invasion of Iraq was based on lies. Most would agree that the US invaded to tighten its control of world oil supplies. Its not surprising that the US occupation has been fought from the start by the Iraqi people - with both bullets and ballots. What is surprising is that so few Westerners recognise the resistance as legitimate - instead all armed resistance is lumped together with the tiny terrorist fringe. We condemn terrorism - no country has ever been freed by terrorists - but we recognise the US and it allies as the biggest purveyor of terror and violence in Iraq and in Afghanistan. |
